Access controls limit who can view your documents, and you retain full control over your data, including the ability to delete it at any time. You are responsible for using the platform appropriately within your practice's privacy policies and procedures.

Yes — a BAA is available on request. Contact us at counselpad.ai/contact to request one. A signed BAA is required for covered entities and business associates under HIPAA. We recommend requesting it before or at the start of your paid plan.

No. Your patient data is never used to train shared AI models. Your content — sessions, notes, transcripts — stays yours and is only used to generate your notes. We do not sell, share, or use your data for any AI training purposes.

Gap flagging reviews your draft note against the structure of your chosen format (SOAP, DAP, progress note) and highlights items that appear missing or unclear. Common examples: missing follow-up date, safety plan status not documented, medications not mentioned, treatment goals without measurable outcomes, risk factors not addressed, or diagnosis specifiers missing. You review each flag and decide whether to add, clarify, or dismiss it — nothing is auto-corrected.
