Billing & Payments Policy

CounselPad offers a 7-day free trial on all plans. No credit card is required to start.

During your trial, you have full access to all features included in your selected plan. At the end of the trial, you will be prompted to enter payment information to continue. If you do not add a payment method, your account will be paused and you will not be charged.

Payments are processed securely through Stripe and Google Payments. CounselPad does not store your payment card information on our servers.

Stripe is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified. By using CounselPad, you agree to be bound by Stripe's Services Agreement and Stripe's Connected Account Agreement, as applicable.

You will receive an email receipt for each successful payment. All transactions are encrypted and processed in compliance with applicable payment security standards.

Subscriptions are billed on a monthly recurring basis. Your billing cycle begins on the date you activate your paid subscription.

Charges are processed automatically each month. If a payment fails, we will retry the charge. If payment cannot be collected after multiple attempts, your account may be paused until resolved.

You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from your billing portal.

Upgrades take effect immediately. You will be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your current billing cycle.

Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. You retain access to your current plan's features until the end of the billing period.

CounselPad offers a 14-day refund window from the date of your first charge, reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Contact us at [email protected] within 14 days of the charge. We respond within 24 hours (Firm Plan) or on a best-effort basis (Solo plans).

We do not offer prorated refunds for unused time within a billing period outside of the 14-day window.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. No long-term contracts or cancellation fees.

Upon cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period. Your data is retained for 30 days after cancellation. You may request deletion at any time.

All payment transactions are encrypted using AES-256 encryption. CounselPad is HIPAA-compliant and your data is never used to train shared AI models.

You retain full control over your data at all times, including the right to request deletion. See our Privacy Policy for more information.

reCAPTCHA is used on sign-up and contact forms to prevent spam. By using these forms, you consent to Google's data collection for this purpose.
